The Chianti wine tasting (degustazione vino chianti) experience is simply a treasure trove of fine vintages. The abundance of land between the mountains and the sea allows for an abundance of vineyards to be planted. These vintages come from many different regions around the world including Spain, Australia, South Africa, Italy, and even America.
If you’re able to get a group of people together for a Tuscany wine tasting event, then you’re sure to have an event that will be remembered for a long time. There are plenty of groups that you could join that would be happy to share their experiences with you and perhaps if you like to organize your private events, then you may want to call around and see what reservations are available before you make any.
Some of the most popular places that you can go are the San Gimignano area of Tuscany, which has some beautiful views of rolling hills and woods. This is also where most wineries are located which offer a variety of different varieties of Italian wine.
There are quite a few farmer’s markets in this area as well, which offer local, fresh vegetables and fruits as well as local cheeses and bread. The main street runs down to the foot of the hill known as Montalcino.
If you’d rather go to a vineyard for your Tuscany wine tasting experience, then there are quite a few out there. Keep in mind that you should book about three months in advance because they always fill up fast especially during the summer.
Keep in mind that you can typically enjoy wine tastings throughout the whole year but picking the right grapes, drying the grapes, and then pressing them is a very different process than what is done in a wine cellar.
Many wineries only release certain varieties of wine at certain times so don’t think you can just pick any grapes. You might end up getting a bad-tasting wine and you certainly don’t want that to happen while you’re trying to enjoy wine with friends and family.
